I'm going down under! - to New Zealand and then to Australia! These countries are not close together - just over 4000 miles apart. But if I'm going to one, I'm going to the other. So my next travel adventure begins on Tuesday, March 3rd.
I fly to Auckland, New Zealand and will meet my friend, Patricio from Chile, there. We are renting a car and travelling from the North Island through the South Island and back again to Auckland over 3 weeks. And then we fly to Australia for a week based out of Sydney. On April 6th, Patricio returns to Chile and I meet my tour group for an 18-day tour around Australia. We've planned it all, including lots of hiking, and I'm sure it will be amazing!
On the Australia tour I'll be with 20 other people, including Kirin (Belom) and her husband Matt. The nice thing about a tour is that you don't have to figure anything out - it's all included and done for you! I hear internet is not so great in NZ, but I'm hoping to post on the blog at least a few times while there. I return April 26th. Yippee!
