End of year stats for 2018

How did I do on my 60 List this year? (60 things to do when I'm 60ish)

End of year Strava stats:

Running Total - 234 miles
Ride Total - 1526 miles
Swims - 9
Activities - 175
Time Total active - 452 hours
Mileage Total (which probably includes walks, hikes, swim) - 2161 miles

States Visited this year:  California, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina,Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia.

Work:  None for me. Yay!   Scott retired in August but continued to work a lot until we drove away on our Florida vacation in November.

Activism: 2018 Women's March in Denver.  Yay!  Plus lots of calls using 5Calls app.

National Parks and Monuments:  No monuments but we did some parks.  And we both turned 62 and got our life-time National Parks passes!  Scott got his at Fort Pickens in the Florida panhandle and I got mine at Castillo de San Marcos on Florida's east coast.  Yay for Level 6.2!

Organized Rides:  Door County week long ride in Wisconsin.  Quiet roads, beautiful scenery and coastlines.  And our ride from Key Largo to Key West (and back) in Florida.  Door County was quiet, beautiful, amazing.  Key West ride was scary because of traffic and because much of the bike paths were damaged and unusable due to last year's hurricane.  Both trips were with Pedal Across Wisconsin organization.

First Time Rail Trails:  Sparta-Elroy in Wisconsin with tunnels!  Mickelson Trail in South Dakota.  Scott's first time on Wauponsee Glacial Trail in Illinois.

Organized Runs: Scott's first Bolder Boulder!
I did the Lafayette Oatmeal run.  Always fun with oatmeal and toppings after.

Traditions:  New West Fest music in Ft. Collins for the 3rd year in a row!
Phyllis's Christmas breakfast for Longs Peak ladies & guys - for at least 10 years.
Sunday trail runs with Dirty Girlz
Friday morning breakfast with the GWITS
Quilt Days on Mondays in Berthoud with In-Stitches
Skiing with Scott and sometimes Charlene
Summer outdoor music at parks
Happy hours with Go Go's - our lips are sealed.
Keeping up with the Spice Girlz minus Roberta in Costa Rica (boo) - friends since 1980
Missed these Christmas traditions bc we were in Florida - Hike to the Boulder Star and
Longmont Christmas parade & lights at Roosevelt Park.
Christmas in Illinois with family.

New experiences:  We finally invented and made the setup to pull the kayak to the lake behind the bike.  It's awesome!  We call it the LOCO stick (for Longmont Colorado).
The Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD.
Scooter Bars!  I think I invented them this year with advice from my favorite tester....

Colorado Trail with Ann & Mattie the dog:  Segment 14
Segments 21, 22, 23, and 24 near Durango - supported by Colorado Mountain Expeditions.  We only carried day packs, they fed us 3 meals and we met great friends!  Such a fine way to hike the Colorado Trail.

Triathalons: None.  Boo.

Bikepack Trip:  One bikepack from Lakewood to Chief Hosa and back.  A car camp trip to Allenspark with bikes and lots of riding.

Ski Places:  Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, A-Basin.  With a couple of overnights.

Birthday celebration:  Missed the Sunday Run (bc we were on our driving vacation). We were in Key West and did a kayak trip in the mangroves, had apps and a pina colada in the evening, outside with great music.  Level 6.1 was fabulous.

Trips outside the US:  England driving vacation with Kirin and Matt, followed by Scotland and the Isle of Skye with more friends.

It was a very good year.  Moving on to good health and great adventures in 2018.
