This is my running group, the Dirty Girlz, and we are celebrating one of our birthdays at a coffee shop after a Sunday morning run. Scott's granddaughter Rhiannon was visiting us so got in on the coffee shop fun too.
Every Sunday I am in Colorado, I looked forward to running with these ladies and catching up afterwards over coffee. They keep me going!
The first wedding we attended this year was in Michigan - our friend Eleanor who moved back home to Michigan from Colorado, married Jon. I added a photo on the post about summer.
My middle granddaughter, Jaymie, got married in Utah in August and we flew out for her celebration, which was very cool. Her husband, Ezra, is Tongan (island in the Pacific) and the reception included a lot of singing and dancing and honoring elders, and great food cooked by Ezra's relatives.

And our third wedding was Scott's granddaughter, Marissa, who married Sawyer. They live in Charlotte, so in December we flew there and spent time with Scott's daughter, Jenny and her family then enjoyed the wedding.
Congrats to all those newlyweds who we love and know will do well together.

| We enjoyed our room at the Hilton and the Sugar Creek Trail nearby in Charlotte. Temps were unusually cold - 20's in the mornings. But we got out and saw a lot of the city on foot. |

| The Christmas light show at the Nascar Speedway in Charlotte was huge and amazing, with millions of lights set to music. The number of cars in line to get in on a week night was in the thousands for sure. It was awesome! |
My niece Jamie and her son Alex made a quick and surprise trip to Colorado after they got a great deal on flights, a room in Frisco, and a rental car! Scott and I drove up to ski with them on Saturday and Sunday. But, a blizzard was moving in for Monday, so we all left a night early and they got a flight out a day earlier. Lucky for them they got out because that blizzard was BIG! We had a blast while they were here and were sorry it ended early.
