Albuquerque and Petroglyph National Monument

Today we explored Albuquerque and some nearby areas... The city is very large and sprawling and flat.  Nice enough but 1 day was enough there.
We started at the Botanical Garden,  which was beautiful,  big,  so clean,  and free!  They had 2 warm greenhouses,  a Bugarium with lots of weird bugs,  and was a cool experience. But it was really cold outside... so it was more cool than I would have liked.
Also walked the Old Downtown with old adobe  buildings, old town square, and lots of shopping and photo opportunities.
We had nachos indoors at a local fave restaurant called Monroe's.  Excellent and packed with people.
Next was miles of walking to see petroglyphs at two locations within the national monument.  (Rinconada Canyon and Boca Negro).  The petroglyph and rock formations were really interesting.
Dinner was at another local fave,  Flying Star.   There are 6 of them in town and some in Santa Fe too.  Good food!
Hangin' in ABQ.
Walkway with signature red peppers hanging everywhere!
My favorite picture of Dean.  He's a vicious outlaw!

Some of the petroglyphs...that one looks like a space ship, right?
A view from some of the petroglyphs over Albuquerque to the Sandia Range.

My best mean gunslinger look!
