Australia tour group-good!

I met the tour group in Sydney on Monday afternoon and Patricio flew out to Santiago on Monday morning.  I'm ready for a change of pace and lots of people.

The group is large, about 24 people.   8 single women, a bunch of nice couples,  and 3 guides who are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable.   Already we are laughing a lot!

The group did 2 nice long hikes in cool rainy weather...to Manly Beach and through Sydney Harbor National Park.   Beautiful views on both of the Tasman Sea.

I went to the Aquarium and it enjoyed it.
Kirin and Matt and I went to the Sydney Opera on the Harbor,  which is outside near the Opera House.   It was beautiful but we froze, even bundled up.  The wind raged all night so we were happy when Aida and her love finally died after singing about it for the entire second half.

We saw a kookaburra bird in a gum (eucalyptus) tree

Parrots are large and colorful and like to eat the seeds of these brush-like beige flowers.

Cockatoos are large, white, abundant,  and have a loud obnoxious screech like crows.

At the Sydney Aquarium, you walk through tubes under the water with fish swimming all around you.  Very cool.
